If you haven’t been keeping up with the buzz, LeadIQ launched a first-ever March Madness for sales! We’ve gathered 64 of LinkedIn’s best and brightest in sales to go head-to-head for the 1st Annual Sales Madness Tournament. We grouped participants into four different categories; Sales Trainers, Leaders, Vendors, and Practitioners to battle to the death…I mean… just for fun, of course.

To set the record straight, we’ve crowdsourced all of the participants in this Sales Madness tournament. Seeding is reflective of the total number of LinkedIn followers, and advancing in the tournament is based solely upon voting results in these online LinkedIn polls only. Voters can follow along and vote for their favorites solely on LinkedIn.

LeadIQ is honored and overwhelmed by the presence and participation of every person and company on this journey to recognize sales influencers who are doing the most. Don’t be afraid to give those listed below a follow on LinkedIn! They are all well respected, successful individuals who offer valuable content with anything from sales tips, career growth, and much more. With that being said, let’s review the highlights!

Round one of Sales Madness showed a great turnout! With 9,182 total votes, the competition is intense. One of the biggest upsets we noticed during round one was the famous John Selig as the #15 seed going up against Mark Hunter, #2 seed, where Jon secured the win with 68% of the votes.

The matchup that received the most votes, Michael Tuso (seed #5,), battling Darryl Praill (seed #12), was neck to neck. Michael Tuso ended up taking the win with 55% of the votes. Here are the rest of the results:

With a total of 7,197 total votes for this round, the results may shock you. First off, we had a huge upset with Dale Dupree beating out #1 seed John Barrows, with 58% of the votes.

The matchup with the most votes this round, Scott Leese (#6 seed) taking on Trish Bertuzzi (#3 seed) was a nail-biter. Scott lease took the win with 59% of the votes.
